The Mertes Scholarship has helped me pursue the challenges and opportunities I want to take on without going broke in the process.  I can't do this scholarship justice with words alone. Being able to take classes, be a part of productions, and make connections at not only Las Positas College (which is a fantastic opportunity on it's own) but also at SOU has helped me grow and develop myself so much.
